The seven-member advisory committee of State officials appointed last summer by Governor Dewey to assist in a study of State employees' salaries is pictured at a recent meeting in Albany with members of the staff of the State Civil Service Department. The committee is now assisting in the conversion of some 76,000 jobs in State service to the 38-grade salary schedule adopted early this year as a result of the study. The new plan will go into effect October 1, retroactive to April 1. Seated from left to right are: Lawrence B.
